Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat tells the story of Joseph, Israel’s beloved son. Joseph’s father makes a beautiful robe for him, which makes Joseph’s brothers jealous of him. One day, the brothers remove his robe and sell him as a slave where he ends up in Egypt as a prisoner of the pharaoh. After two years, the pharaoh has a strange dream, which cannot be interpreted by anyone. Finally, he asks Joseph who has interpreted the dreams of other people. Correctly interpreting the dream, the pharaoh makes Joseph in charge of the palace and he becomes well respected. One day his brothers come to Egypt but do not recognize Joseph. Eventually, they realize that it is their younger brother that they sold into slavery so many years ago.
