Experience Los Angeles Fine Dining at dineLA

It’s dining season again! If you are staying at affordable hotels in Hollywood, now is the perfect time to experience five-star dining in Los Angeles. With one of the most dynamic dining scenes in the country, Los Angeles has everything from street food to steakhouses. dineLA Restaurant Week is now underway until February 1st, 2013.

Restaurant Week is a showcase of Los Angeles as a premier dining destination. Locals and visitors have the opportunity to visit restaurants in Los Angeles and enjoy a specially priced prix fixe lunch and dinner menu. Diners will be able to choose plates for appetizer, entrée and dessert.

Prices for this year’s dineLA Restaurant Week are as follows:

Lunches: $15, $20, $25

Dinners: $25, $35, $45

Each price varies by restaurant and excludes beverages, tax and gratuity. Reservations are recommended but not required. Walk-ins are welcome but there is no guarantee that walk-in guests will be accommodated.

There are over 200 restaurants participating in dineLA this month. Participating restaurants are located all over Los Angeles from Pasadena to Hermosa Beach. Some of the options available to those staying in Hollywood include Cleo, Geisha House, Sadie,  Susan Feniger’s STREET,  The Foundry on Melrose, and many more.   You can view a list of restaurants here.

As an example, at Katsuya Hollywood you can choose from Edamame, sautéed shishito peppers and sunomono as a starter for lunch. The entrée choices are chicken teriyaki, NY steak teriyaki and cedar plank salmon with sansho caper sauce. Each entrée comes with miso soup, salad and chef’s choice of roll for lunch and dinner. Lunch price is $25. You can add desert for an extra $5 and choose from mocha ice cream, mango, vanilla or strawberry with seasonal fruit.

For dinner, you can choose from a Tuna Tart with winter truffle, Creamy Rock Shrimp with crispy bite-size rock shrimp tossed in Chef’s spicy creamy sauce and Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna. You can choose from an entrée of steamed sea bass with ginger and green onion, binchotan-grilled rib eye steak and miso-marinated black cod.  For dessert you can feast on chocolate molten cake with seasonal ice cream, baked apple with vanilla ice cream and a moch ice cream.
